EDITORIAL
Ethiopian Review of Cultures is a bi-annual publication directed by Capuchin Franciscan Institute of Philosophy and Theology, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Review is the fruit of ongoing research done by faculty members at St Francis. It furthermore welcomes other scholarly contributions, from inside and outside Ethiopia.
Ethiopian Review of Cultures aims at being an adequate "locus" for the ever enriching dialogue between cultures, in all their possible, complementary facets. And since the publication has been born in our country, it will normally intend to give pre-eminence to articles dealing with Ethiopian issues. Hence the very name of the title.
This publication is addressed to Christian communities working in our country as well as to people seeking understanding and true knowledge through honest, fraternal dialogue.
And since true progress and common understanding can be achieved by serious reflection and honest search, the Review - whose fourth and fifth numbers we now introduce - would like to make its contribution by fostering fraternal dialogue and genuine research. |
